Course description

The course is designed for eleventh-graders, who want to develop their writing skills. The aim of the course is to develop students’ ability to express their thoughts in writing: write accounts of experiences, describing feelings and reactions in simple connected text, write a description of an event, a recent trip – real or imagined, write short, simple essays on topics of interest, write personal letters according to the State Unified Exam.


Course requirements

For successful passing this course students are required to attend classes and submit homework on time.

The course involves a lot of writing practice, so you should be prepared to take the time on homework.

The Internet will be utilized as a resource. Therefore, you should be prepared to use the computers to perform your homework assignments.

During the course you will be required:

-to write the texts in different genres;

-to attend classes on a weekly basis;

-to take some vocabulary and grammar quizzes;

-to take part in group projects
-use mobile apps to carry out some assignments.
